I'm still working on this. Been working on it slowly the last few days. Any suggestions, praises...anything? I feel like I should add something but can't think of what. Let me know what you think.
Thanks.

Liz Hurley?

Okee...
Contructive Critique:
Nice blending of the face into the background, except that's what it looks like..a face picture blending into the background..maybe try and give the face layer a bit more of a "smoky" feel, ethereal blurring edges if you want it to seem haunting.

The flamey background is nice, the standard yellow orange makes it look like an Eye Candy Flame effect though, a little flat...but the arch pillars look good when I looked for them.

The geometric shaping on the left seems to be a trendy use of pointless geometric shape, as it seemed really out of place somehow. Don't get me wrong, I love the new geometric art style, as I work with it on occasion, but it seems odd in your piece so far. Maybe using more of the geometry would even it out a bit, or blending it in a different way. It just seems to clash right now.

As far as what it "needs" I can only think it needs focus. You have the juxtaposing of the soft burning in face (the bright white and green eyes are a bit distracting, but that's opinion) and the sharp lines of the grainy pillars...that's nice. The geometrics could be used for contrast as well, but make them flow into the design, not "on top" of it.

Yeah, I know, it sounds bad, and I'm sorry it does, but I'm blunt like that. I like the look of the image...so far...as it seems like a work in progress, with the potential to have great flesh.

Hope it helps.

Peter

I can't really say much because I just don't understand this type of work......the whole wallpaper thing to me is just plain odd....I always use either tiled textures or a centered image that strikes my eye.

I will say this: God DAMN she's hot!!!! woo. ouch... hoild on, I'll be right back ok?......(don't wait for me.....)

any-hoo...I do like the flames and the pillars <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/biggrin.gif">

Hey, that's pretty cool. The eyes are awesome, they really stand out, but, like Peter said, the geometric shapes have to go. When you look at something like this image, it's all a matter of taste. Some may like it, others do not.

It also caught my eye the way that the eyes were clean and crisp (eww?) and the rest of the face blurred, that was a nice touch. And since 90% of the people that use windows have their icons lined up on the left hand side, having the face on the right really adds to it. I like it!

The flames do look like EyeCandy though.

Thanks for all the comments. I agree with most of what was said. I know the bar on the left side has to go. But like I said it is just a start. About the only things I knew I wanted to keep were the pillars and the face(maybe edited some).

The flame background looks like eyecandy? That's the only comment that bothers me. I don't use eyecandy at all. All the effects are way too cheap looking and you see them everywhere. The background is what I made first and really liked it. It actually started out as a picture of a snake. Applied a few filters, many layers in different overlay modes and came up with what you see. Looked good to me. Maybe I'll change it a little so it doesn't look like eyecandy so much.

Thanks again for looking and feel free to add more comments. If I get something I'm happy with I'll post the finished product.
