Not bad, but I think the outer edges are a little too soft.

Did you speel it like "****"? That won't work. You might have problems with "k*****l" too, heh. K_E_W_L should work though, but please don't overdo it!

I think the edges need some work, it doesn't seem to look right with the blurred edge.
Like the spikes a lot but for my tastes the ones at the left and right centre of the circle need a slight adjustment. I think it would look better symmetrical (ie make to bottom two out of the four aim downwards) I'm not explaining this very well am I? What I mean is, flip them vertically. Then it would be coolness.

well since everyone else was super nice, i guess you can handle a rough comment too.

looking at the image, i first thought it was really unprofessional and juvenile. it reminds me of stuff i was doing when i first started way back when...

the problem is the theme itself, the design and layout are unpleasing. the implementation isn't very good either.. the flames aren't too realistic, the spikes have fake looking effects, the font and glow are not too hot either.

"what an asshole" is what you're probably saying, but here's how i see it. in this industry, there are two main types of developers that get good jobs. you have the very straightline designers who produce very neutral, but effective sites, that loads of clients decide upon to convey their professional image. on the other hand, you have very expressive and creative designers who usually end up making designs for companies/clients that are expressive and creative as well.

it is because of these two main areas on interest, that i feel that your graphic fails because it falls into limbo between the two aspects of design.

Thanks for the info. Even if it's negative, at least you're telling me what would improve it. When I ask for criticts, that means I want your opinion good or bad.

I was wondering what to do with the edges. The spikes were an accident, I was messing around with the layers and that's what happened.

I used an artificial looking flame, cause that's how the rest of the site will be done. Even though, it doesn't look like fire, I think it still looks kinda cool.

I've always a problem with imagination, so if anyone has any ideas how to improve this graphic, or for upcoming designs, please let me know.

Could you tone down that sig of yours? it's really....tall....and really....not-blending-into-the-page....

Oh, and I REALLY don't like the blurred edge...could you adjust that to unblur it? and the whole image looks too yellow for my tastes...you have a little too much flame space too, try putting some sort of cool lines or metal arms or something coming from the center circle to the four links.
