Ok everybody... umm does anyone want to let me use their artwork in order to create a tutorial for lineart? I dont have a scanner so... yah... make sure it's very sketchy etc.. (pen and ink defeats the purpose.. hehe ) Well, just post your images up here and I'll make a tut. Thanks!

I don't have many of my sketches scanned, and I'm not sure what kind, and how rough of artwork you're looking for.

I have a couple pencil pieces from a while back, but I suspect they might be a bit "clean" for the purposes since they are intended to become comic lineart.

Nonetheless, not sure how many responses you'll get, so I'll throw them out there to see if they at least help.

Dark Gardens third image reminds me of Sean Connery. The Rock and Entrapment ... two quality movies... so was Face - off but Sean Connery wasnt in that one, he should have been though.

Oh.. I have no patience to finish this for the night, so I'll just post what has been done so far. The first image is shown with the lineart still on top of the original image. This method could be used to provide a sharper outline giving more of a comic book look. The 2nd image is without the drawing underneath and as you can see I didn't finish it. It can be used as a CG to create a cel image(the anime kind) or a more realistic cartoon. Anyway, if any of ya want to learn how to do this, please post on this board so i can decide wheter or not to take the time to write a tut and finish up the image and CG it. Thanks!
PS. this is a good alternative to those who are tired of tracing with a tablet or those who use a mouse and cant trace well... *shrug* bet most of ya should know how to do this already...

***EDITED***
The tutorial will also include a basis for CG coloring (realistic and cel).

For me the links aint working... but since you're into it, would you like to check my cg'ing? it can be found on [http://www.topcities.com/arts/mahjqa/Synfireangelcg.jpg] or (other picture) [http://www.topcities.com/arts/mahjqa/Marywindow.jpg] if you wanna see all my stuff, it's on [http://come.to/mahjqa] I think it's ok, but somebody else's opinion couldn't hurt.

Mahjqa: Very nice CGing. But there are a few areas that could improve your image. Your shading style seems to be only darkening near the edges. You should work on adding more shadow and highlights. You can read up on it as cell shading. Also, I like the way you blur out the background to produce the far effect realism. Oh yes, on emore thing that could help is varying your line widths to distinguish close from far. Hope it helps.
