My Colorado adventure guide client loves how Doc developed this background on http://www.handson.nu/HTML/tiles.shtml. How'd he do it? I know how to use channels and lighting effects, but what about the "glossy" look?

Thanks

I just went to HandsOn and I noticed something strange, a banner ad for a 1999 Photoshop conference. Perhaps this needs to be changed?

Yup, I noticed that. Any ideas for my question?

Thanks

CRO8:
It looks (don't quote me on this) that Doc played with the brightness and contrast, and/or the Levels of the tiled image after he'd done the Lighting Effects over an Alpha channel for the "raised" look.

After that, I'd assume he reduced the colours by converting to indexed colour, and setting it to Adaptive, and lowered the amount of colours used until he got the desired effect.

Hope that helps.

Of course Doc probably has a different method....but I enjoy warping your perspectives first.
