I started photoshop last week. Its a damn good program too. I've been testing out alot of different ones...3D Studio max...god its confusing...paintshop pro (sucks) and alot of plugins...Ive been trying to get decent interfaces going. So far I got this nice looking one (to me). http://israfel.hypermart.net/

I don't really know what to say. It's very interesting! There's a few basic problems, however. That lense flare looks really cheap, it doesn't add anything to the image, and I think it should be taken out. Set the ridges on top of the screws to soft light or overlay, and increase the white highlight a bit. I'm not quite sure what type of texture effect you are going for on the main piece of the interface, but it isn't very defined. To tell you the truth, it's quite tough to make out what it is exactly. The text is rather illegible, maybe a solid color with a simple bevel would look better. I like the bottom text effect. It looks nice. It looks pretty good for only one week in photoshop. I think the interface is awesome for a beginner. Its a little too complex for me and mbridge was right about the text. I think you should lose those white highlights and keep the text one color (but still semi transparent. The lil E for the email should either just be gotten rid of or changed to the same font as the other words...

Yeah, it's definately pretty cool for someone new to Photoshop. I think like mbridge said, there are some inherent problems, but overall it is nice work! Some good experiments with transparent materials.

I'd work on simplifying it a little bit -- identify what adds to the design and what simply takes up space. Make the text more legible.

The little e: it appears to be the same font -- did you mean color Jestah? I would say to make it the same color myself.

It would be nice to see some rollovers on those buttons too <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/biggrin.gif">

keep at it! I'd like to see a version 2 personally.

Oh yeah -- the screws: I would work on them a little too. They'd look better embedded into the surface. There's a pretty decent method for making screws here: http://users2.50megs.com/warehouse/tutorial/screw.html

Just put that on the end of any html page ..you can work it into cgi and stuff too.

is that working for topcities too? (goes figure nobody here uses topcities and decides to try it out then) it works on EVERY free host? just place <noembed> innit? where? not </noembed> somewhere? (din't saw it in source, so I figure not)
