'kay.
I've been messing w/ my signature. it's this one: http://www.geocities.com/wecantaffordanyspaces/sig_mahjqa_anim.gif
I've been messing with dirty rectangles to keep the file size down, but when I do so the dirty rectangle's the whole image. when I get rid of the transparent color, the dirty rectangles DO work, but when I change it back the dirty rect's don't work anymore and the filesize's back to 22k.

If you understood most of that, PLEASE HELP!

i dont know what dirty rectangles are, but what prog are you using to create that? i know the ulead gif animater creates some realy wierd stuff if you try to use some of the broken "features".

I use animagic gif creator. What dirty rect's are? see, if you have a gif animation, (like my sig) and with the new frame only a small part of the picture changes, ONLY THE CHANGED PART of the gif is included. (in my case, the eyes.) that'd save a LOT of space. atleast, that's what it's supposed to do. if you use transparent gif's, that's REALLY limited. all transparent parts are counted as 'changed' parts, so if a large part of your sig's transparent, it doesn't help. So, my sig's supposed to be 5000 bytes, but now it's eleven b'cuz the dirty rect's don't work. sigh.

What does that thing at the top of your sig say? It's so small I can't read it. Or is supposed to be a pattern, and I'm thinking it's text?
