Ive seen everyone in here with Sigs. I decided I WANNA ONE! So I made one. Let me know how hideous it is and what I should change.

Carlton: Sig looks pretty nice so far. Get your transparentcy working and we'll see. Also I agree you should make it a tad smaller. Look at Mikey's sig. Around that size is nice.

petskull: almost liked your last signature better, this one is uninspired... the letters are hard to read, and you used a lens flare (oh no!).

Sig size seems to be making an issue if itself again, so I dug thsi out of the Archive from one of Doc's posts:

ain't that a bit TOO small? ah well. mine's 6 kb... that'll do.

Now another one. see if you can see the difference. you can check if you like, but this is EXACTLY the same sig I used before. now how did I do that?

(I was planning on an animated version, but my gif animator is doing something really wrong and after trying for 4 hours to fix it I decided to let it as it was.)

i think 400x40 are about the largest dimensions that should be used for the forum.. but that's just my opinion.

CarltonCig-> Nice thing, but I think you could do something at the spacing between the letters. For example: look at the space between "l" and "t". Look much bigger than between "o" and "n" and also between "n" and "C"... .. .

Carlton: Agreeing with most, the Kerning seems a bit off, it needs transparency to blend in a bit better (and avoid the box look) and it should be smaller, definitely.

Ah my eyes, man make the jaggies go away. hehe. Hey mah what prog you using for the gifs. As a suggestion photoshop 5.5 does some most excellent gifs if you need the manimated take them into Imageready 2.

Looks to me like he took a single shape, (the circular edge and flat edge), flipped a copy of it. Rotated a copy of the pair, messed with lighting effects and then just fiddled with some layer masks to make them overlap. Nothing extremely difficult to accomplish.

But it does look like the transparency on the silver one is messed up.. lots of speckled dots.. BLECH!

And what's with the gross overload of orange in the sigs here? I remember someone commenting on how nice it is to have some orange on the web, and that's true.. but you guys are just killing the flavor of it now. FARRRR too much orange. It's burning my eyes.

BTW - I know my sig is giant and out dated. I'm busy trying to actually update my WEB PAGE.. then I'll worry about my sig.

I had a little extra time tonight and decided to fiddle with a new sig along similar lines of everybody else's "sig in a box" idea. But I decided to not use the gag orange that is permeating the forums... let's see how green does.
