Do you know who made that image? You might want to drop him an email and see if he saved the PDF

Looks similar to http://www.innerworld.com/F1_error/CPM/ with a few changes and additions. But maybe not.

DL-44 made those beauties for the Gurusnetwork. Shake his tree a little bit - he'll share!

Yep, that's mine <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/biggrin.gif">

lemme see if I can lay this out correctly here....

there are a total of 5 layers -- background, drop shadow, text, edge definition, highlight.

1st -- create your text (that font is "Dayton")

2nd -- create a blurred mask and run Lighting Effects.
Use 2 directional lights at opposing angles, with the bottom light a duller color and lower intensity

3rd -- new layer.
Select the shape of the text, and inverse the selection.
Fill with black.
Inverse again.
Gaussian blur by 1-2 pixels.
Inverse again.
Delete.
Play with opacity til you're happy

4th -- select the shape again.
create a new channel.
contract the selection 1-2 pixels.
Fill with white.
nudge down and over 1-2 pixels.
Fill with black.
Load channel as selection.

5th -- new layer
with selection still loaded, fill with white (or a light version of your color)
Set blending to Color Dodge
play with opacity

6th -- add a drop shadow

7th -- send cash to DL-44 <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/wink.gif">

hope that helps
