hi again!
need feedback to the beginning of this iface. when it is finished (and there is alotta work to do!) it will be something like a monitor border. any suggestions to make it look better? doesnt satisfy me..

It's big, a little too big for an 800x600 screen (which is what you want right?) You are forgeting about the toolbars, scrol bars, and app edges. You need to scale it back a little.

The texture looks more like canvas than a "smooth" plastic monitior, and unless you are a *very* messy eater, your not going to see stains that bold. They need to be toned way down. As long as we are talking about edge, what is that one little nick in the upper left all about? The Pipe thing on the left doesn't have the same light source as the rest, it seems that it's light source is more center than upper-left.
It's not that exciting or appealing really, but it is a good start, you need to play and have fun with it. Don't make designing a painful experience for yourself.

It will me a frame for some flashthing, so the width and the hight is from no interest right now. With the lightsource you are right, I have to fix this. The stains.. hmm what to change.. hmmm the bloody things are quite ok, I think, but the rust is the prob as always.. will play around with it a lill..

it's nice start, but it looks too simplistic. Sorry to say that... I'm sure you probably put a lot of work into it. I think the texture on the "metal" is awkwrd. The rust tells me it's supposed to be metal, but it doesn't look like metal. Try tweaking the curves to get a shiny metal look and then the rust will look twice as nice on it. I'll get a picture of what I use sometime and post it. It's really simple to get a nice look. The "blood?" look out of place... I'm not sure why it's there... or if it's even really blood? Keep up the good work!

Try making the blood 3Dish so it has a wet appeal.

What do you mean by 3Dish?

Take a look at Human Shields blood look.

Here's another example of runny blood... mmm... that sounds tasty!



Though it's not as shiny. You'll want to tweak your curves to get a good shiny wet look.
