Another question for you brainy guys.
Using Photosop 6, is there a way that you can make a line of text follow a work path. For example a circle or something?
I'm sure I've heard someone mention it before, but I can't find anything in the help files.
Hope you can help.

DG's got a tut here that should answer your questions.

As far as I know trixster, PS6 still does not support type alomg a path. I think it now has some vector based components. I have ead that therre ar some 'canned' changes of shape that one can do to text in PS6 (e.g. Type on an arc, and some others) and the text will still remain editable.

True Text/Type on a path can be done in Illustrator, and then exported to PS, however it loses its edibility.

hope that helps

For DG's tut on type on a path it can be done in any version from 4 upto 6.. maybe even earlier versions but I never had anything less than 4 so I cant be sure...

if Trixster is meaning making circular text then DG's tut is a classic, if he indeed means typing along a vector path, then this cannot be done in any version of PS as of yet... typing on a path likethis means that the type will follow the curvature of the path no matter how curvy/twisted etc.

Aahhh! Master Vogon, you are wise!
Now that you mention it I remember that it was said at the time that it could be done in Illustrator. Don't habe that program, so that's out. Just had a quick glance at DG's tutorial, that looks like jus tthe ticket. Thanks Taxon

Actually Illustrator 9 gives you the ability to export editable text into PS by using File>Export.
