Preserved Topic: This should be an easy quesiton: 3d effect (Page 1 of 1)

There is a tutorial for taking 3d texturing to the next level, and do texture wrapping at http://www.handson.nu/HTML/texwrap.shtml. Where on earth is the first part of that tutorial, the one that deals with doing simple 3D?

I was able to make the cross both as a layer and as a channel. I'm having problems figuring out how to use it to make the 3d effect, let alone the texture Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
