I'm new to photoshop, but trying to learn fast. I was wondering if anyone could lead on the path of how to create images that appear 3-dimensional. Specifically, I would like to know how to create something similar to the green and yellow border and menu bar shown at www.colostate.edu. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

P.S I'm working with photoshop 6.0 and flash 5.0. I have access to fireworks 4.0

egon-jin: welcome!
time to start throwing a few tutorials your way: http://handson.nu http://www.gurusnetwork.com - and then do any tuts that they link to...
...and tell us how that makes you feel.
the basic area you are heading towards with this "3-d feel" is lighting effects.
good luck!
