First, I'm running windows2000pro, and I am having a weird problem with the lighting effects filter in both Photoshop 5.5 and 6.0. Neither the default or any of my custom lighting styles will display in the pull down, nor can i save any new styles. At first i figured this must be a permissions problem but everything seems to be in order. Has anyone else had this problem?

thanks,
cycus ~/

odd. i tried it just now in win2k pro w/ ps 6. i could save new settings, but i found that i could not delete them through the lighting effects filter (i ended up using explorer to find the filter setting and delete it manually).

Thanks la'dsasha! I didn't always have this problem; it occurred sometime after ps had been installed for a while. I have both 5.5 and 6 on the same machine; i wonder if this could be the cause for some kind of conflict between the two versions. ps5.5 runs with about twice the performance of 6; could having dual CPUs be creating a performance hit on 6 that would make it run so slow?

sorry that this is breaking in two separate issues
thanks
