I'm trying to convert some type to a path in Photoshop 6, but the type uses faux bold so PS will not convert it. Any ideas how to work around this, other than making the paths by hand of course. |

Thanks WJ, I tried that, but even at .5 tolerance, the font looks like crap. There has to be another way...? |

I do know that PSP can do text in vector. There might be a way to get the paths into PS from PSP. I don't know for sure how, but I do know a PSP Guru or two is around here some where. |

In IL you can just create a path with the pen tool or whatever then click on the path with the text tool and start typing.. the text will follow the path. I don't think PS allows text on a path... yet. |

I`m going out on a limb here, but paths are fully editable. You can use the selection saved as a path as a base and adjust the path to fit with the direct selection tool and even the convert point tool if drastic adjustments are necessary. I think PS 6 will even save it as a clipping path if you want. |

try a font utility app to convert a PC font to a Mac font. |

You were asking if it could be done in Illustrator, right? On mac, with type selected: command + shift + O (that's the letter not the number). On PC, I don't know, probably alt+shift+O or control+shift+O. |
