Preserved Topic: Need help creating Vines and such. (Page 1 of 1)

Well, I am creating and old "medevil" style interface (made of wood), and I would like to create some vines that wrap around the base of the interface (the supports). I was able to create a somewhat decent looking vine using the same technique as I would use for creating wires, but my results don't look realistic. They look more like.... wires ... anyway, can someone show me how to create cool looking vines and perhaps some undergrowth to go with them? Thanks again!

Hmmm, this probably isn't what you wanted to hear, but vines only exist to hold up a mess of leaves. Leaves are the thing that plants are all about, vines are just plumbing. Check the grape vines in the picture on this page:

As usual you should really show us where your at with the interface so we can get a better understanding of what your trying to do. There was also a thred on vines and barbed wire a few months back. Couldn't find it though is it just me or did a whole heap of threds from the past couple of months go missing
