Hello all,
I have PSP7 and I was wondering, how do I make objects look "see through?" Or Transparent? I have been trying and I haven't found a way yet. A good example of it you can find at: http://www.laughingnow.nu/blog
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I really appreciate it.

Hi Shock I don't think I've met you. Welcome.

That looks like it's the opacity of that layer being lessened.

Try pinoy7

That's a great PSP6 or PSP7 site and tutorials.

I hope that helps

welcome

This how the pic you asked about could be made:

1> Get the pic in psp
2> remove all color (colors--->greymode)
3> set colors to 16 milion
4> make a new layer with the color of your choice.
5> drag the picture layer over the color layer.
6> set opacity from picture layer (in the layer menu) to 50% or so.
7> set the layer to multiply or overlay also try hard/soft light.

play with these settings... have some fun
you could copy the picture layer and set the copy to different settings than the original. Also try some other colors in the color (now background) layer. Start fiddling until you like.

count colors
set colorsmode to a lower volume for lesser file space---> save as

that is about it.

Actually there's no need to grey scale it... just make your shapes in the color of your choice on a new layer and lower the opacity of that layer

Playing with stuff is always good

Thank you so much for all of your advice! I really appreciate it,but how do I move the picture over onto the layer? How do I get the layer onto the picture? I am still having that problem.

Also, how did the webmistress at http://www.laughingnow.nu/blog
make those extreemly cool images. How did she make that awesome bug?

Thank you so much for all the help so far. I really appreciate it!

Wow..... ok the bug is cool and that you may need to ask the person that owns the page. My have a few ideas how but I really don't know how she did it.

To put a image on a new layer you click on the image then click on the 2 white papers in the top bar, that is the copy option or you can go to edit then copy ... then click the image or background you want to put it on and go to edit/paste/new layer. To make that layer transparent go to your layer palette and lower it

Maybe read your manual ? That helps and do lots of tutorials
