Hello again,
I draw a lot when I make websites. Infact, most of my websites that I make are surrounding the drawings I have drawn. The worst part when making a drawing website,in my opinion is coloring the drawings to make them look good. I mean,I like black and white pictures but most of the time I would like to have a few colored pics. When I color my drawings, the first thing I usually do is zoom in,and than I have to stressfully fill in every little cube black,so when I color the image, the edges of the drawing won't look terrible. After 2 hours of coloring each little cube that makes the outline of the drawing,I then use the paint bucket to color in the different sections or sides of my drawing.

I would like to know if there is an easier way to go about coloring my drawings in. Is there an easier way to outline the drawings? I would like to have some tips on what some of you fellow artists do when coloring an image in using some program. The program I use is Jasc Paintshop pro 7. Does anyone have any tips on what I can do to make it easier for me to color the outlines of the image in?

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I really appreciate it.

I do a lot of ink drawing and then scanning...........i would rather draw my work the traditional way....then i take tracing paper with an acetate ink pen and perfect my lines.......a whole lot faster then using vector tools.

once you scan your image into PS then use the wand....isolate the black lines and cut and past them into....3-4 layer.

then again use the wand to isolate areas in the image and color............use the bucket...the gradients....the airbrush.....thats what i do for black and white line drawings........thought id mention that.

I don't know what PSP has, but in Photoshop you could use Levels to tighten up your lines then increase the contrast it's start black and white.

I have PSP! I think it's version 7, maybe 6.

PSP has a tool that will draw shapes for you. Choose one of the vector tools, but uncheck something like vector, and antilise. this will draw all the pixels in for you.(right now i'm not in windows so i can't really check)

if you have more questions i can help you jakejake55@hotmail.com

Yep that's right Jake......it does.

The tutorial page I gave her here and a few on icq show how to do it. I think maybe she has it now
