How do you set the matte color in IR when you are making an animation? I've scoured the help files, NOTHIN!. Checked out all the menus, prefs, and all that stuff, and still NOTHIN!

Someone help me out.

You'll do that when you save the animated gif just like you do in PS.

The only problem with created an animated gif with transparency is that PS won't just keep repeating redundant frames (read: frames that contain the same information). It will treat each frame as a seperate entity, thus creating a huge file.

But, you can do it. Just create your animation over a transparent background then when its time to save for the web you just specify your matte as always.

Hope that helps.

OK, I really got it this time...

Use your optimization palette but you have to make sure that you click on the pointer in the upper right then select "Show Options".

You can see from the screenshot that it then shows you your transparency option.
