With the magic wand selected drag your selection into your new doc, or if the layer you want to apply is in the same doc the just click on the new layer and click on the add mask on the layer pallete.
warjournal Maniac (V) Mad Scientist From: Insane since: Aug 2000	posted 07-02-2001 18:59 Copy & paste. I like using Alpha channels for this. Something to fall back on just in case things go awry with the Mask. Load the selection, save it in an Alpha. Go to the Alpha, select all, copy. Go to the other drawing/photo, new alpha, paste. Go to the layer to use the mask, load the selection/alpha, make it a mask.
