When I first read it and saw that nasty office pic, I was blown away by the simplicity of the solution and the end result. Steve rules!

Curves never cease to amaze me.

Good show, Krets. *World* of difference.

My lord - those are some damn neutral cigarette butts there Krets!

Hey - I felt good about that "turtial". I'm really pleased it continues to help folk. Ain't it wonderful how many photos have a whole bunch of options for a neutral reference! If I didn't know what color the computer was, or what color the wall was (particularly in light of the quantity of butts there!!!), there's still a reference point for neutral. Sometimes you have to look pretty hard, sometimes there just isn't one, but often there is.

Glad to have enlisted another foot soldier in the crusade to eliminate (unwanted) color casts.

Intentional color casts are an altogether different issue (curves can do that too!)

And - if you have a whole bunch of images that need the same cast removed, you can save the curve and incorporate it into an action. Yipee! And curves are fast and efficient and .... well, guess you already know.

Good job Krets!

Finding that turtial comes at a perfect time because my dad just had a bunch of old nagatives developed and they all came out with a funky green shade.

I'll scan a couple in and play around and see what I can do.

VP, you hear that, your butt is neutral!

I deny all knowledge or association to that photo Krets is using! No idea where the he got it from.. (*smaks Krets up side the bonze.... wheres me royalties laddie?) Just goes to show that even Krets can read a masterpeice of a tut and get to grips with it.. will wonders never cease?

Tis a gem Steve .... whens your next one due?

*grabs mop and struts off up the hallway not amused* (and dont even think about it threep!)

That is an awesome tute, Steve. In all the briliance displayed there, all the cool foundations, and photo management tips, in the * special effects * section at the end, you mispelled the word * the *.

Re-reading it, I picked up new stuff, Too much info for my tired brain to absorb at one time. Thanks again.

The more I learn about people, the more I like my computer.

done in by a "the"

Jeez - I really need an editor. My dad did that for a living - I must be quite a disappointment to him.

I bet I've used that *single* tip from the curves tutorial better than weekly since you made it live. It's *too* good.

~takes pin and pops Steve's inflated head~

Now go fix that the
