Hi at all users out there
an extra hi to you doc ozone
I've got a small big problem, in our school (it will get closed), we make a book which consists of all the information of a year.
It is the last of our school.
My problem is that i must design the frontpage.
At first I thought i made a clock "1 minute before twelf" , but it is awfull.
I didn't had a got idea to make it finished.
So can you help me please?

Well...first thing....what are your school colors? Why not take a collage of the things you have and do a embossed image for the cover? That would be my idea

Well......for one.....there are way too many colors to print for a cover and the size is way wrong. I would say go with a single color and emboss it. Maybe a cap with the year 2001.
cap as in cap and gown. Or a picture of the school embossed would be cool. Just a few ideas I have.

I like your clock idea, the only thing is u the bevel and emboss you put on the hands of the clock are no good. I'd say go look at a real clock and mimic the hands on that. there usually flat.


I know at my school, when we were puttin togethor our yearbook we had a meeting with the student council and the year book committee and discussed ideas on what to do. that way u have ideas to work with, and u cant be blamed if others dont like what u did, u were just following the guidelines.

dont give up though and ask as many questions as u like.

Well i agree with Shiz

I'm not sure if you mean you are graduating or if your school is closing down for good.
If it is closing for good and you are the last class I would look back and find an old picture of the school
and a new picture of the school blend them together to show the begining and the end
heck The Begining and The End isn't too bad of a title either. or call it The End of A New Begining
well you get the idea
If you are just graduating go with a picture of a hall way with an open door at the other end. This is quite symbolic. Or go with Robert Frost and use a picture of a path or road. Call it the Road Ahead or The Light at the End of the Tunnel. The Door to a New Begining. I could go on all day. Well Good Luck

I look at your picture and I imediatly got an idea.

navy colored front with gold colored embossed lettering, as in Shi's second year book example (1967).

You would use gold letting to do a watch type design, rounded with angles, I am thinking only a few lines.

Then in a nice scripted font the name of the school the slogan and the year.

That was what I got out of what you wrote. Have fun, but use the kiss method (keep it simple stupid) and all works well in the end.

At first thank you all for this great result. (I never thought that)
Both thinks i had graduated and also the school is closed down.
That book should be a resumee of the whole year and so the last book published of that school.
The size is A5, i've only reduced the shown image because the web. The frontpage should be
fourcolored. but shi, i think your idea with two colors is better.

Ok, i will keep on working and show you the result.
