I'm looking for a way in PS to segment a circle evenly, haven't had much luck finding a tut
wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction.

Darn now I'm thinking of pie,
segmenting circles has made me very hungry.
I'll be back, anyone want a slice?

Gears? Try Polar coordinates.

Cookie?

Edit: Polar coords is good for segmenting circles too.

Polar coords is good. Great for dividing a circle into a certain number of sections. I want this many pieces of pie... this many vertical lines... Polar Coords...

For making gears, there is also the ever popular copy and rotate method.

LOL. Using Mulit-Stroke for gears isn't exactly conducive. Sure, I did the serrated saw thing, but not a gear. What makes serrated saw work is the *circular* brushes -- can't exactly get a blocky shape to rotate around the center when stroking. Know what I mean?

The only way I can think of for doing a gear with Multi-Stroke is to do it in a straight line then Polar Coords it, but you might as well use Define Pattern for the Polar Coords route.

Although, I once took the base serrated saw shape, Gauss, then Level. That was pretty neat. With some playing, you can get some coggish shapes. Let's see... 5 minutes later - coggish.jpg
