Good evening everyone, I'm doing a little artwork as I watch the bears. I have been doing web graphics, and color choice was pretty easy. Now, I'm working with flesh tones, and I'm having trouble picking good colors. what do you guys do to pick good flish tones? Tell me everything you do, cause the color sliders don't give me much for options

What I usually do is click on the foreground color, and move around in the big color box til I find one I like. If you`re in a version that uses hex codes, try 9C8456 ( Or R- 156 B- 132 B- 90 ) and play around in there somewheres.
Then you can either dodge and burn hilights and shadows, or lighten and darken your original color.
sometimes I set up a pallette on it`s own layer with the range of colors I think I`ll use, and use the ALT key ( with the paintbrush tool active ) to change colors.

Does that help ?

Grab a photo and use the EyeDropper tool using 5x5 point sample. Add the colour(s) into the Swatches palette. If I need to adjust the colour slightly, I usually use HSV in the Colour palette but not always.
