Most of the stuff I saw could be done in plain PS with a little work...with the possible exception of Dimension X.

Putty. I am very interested in Putty. It would be nice to have that right in PS without having to resort to a seperate program. That would be so nice.

Dimension X and Chisel scare me. I might be able to pull them off, but I would break a sweat.

Side note. What is up with these soft interfaces? Are we going to be seeing more eye candy in interfaces in places like plug-ins? Come on. In DreamSuite, you can choose a colour flavor. Oh... major selling point. Must be for addicted filter hounds. I can't wait for a completely skinable filter interface.

mmmm......some of those look pretty cool, if i got those filters i would go nuts for a day then try to figure out how to use them in real life / work - a 35mm slide? what the....

dimension x and the metal ones would save time on a job - if thats what you needed.

Putty looks good - could use that.

good point warjournal, are those interfaces are supposed to be user friendly or something??? they sould look at this place.

Easy Morph -- stuff like that, DB. Well, not morphing one pic into another specifically, but the use of Brazier curves to make the morph. Or maybe even Squizz!, but I don't see much about Squizz! that I can't already do with Liquify or Displace.

It would be nice to be able to distort/morph with Brazier curves from within PS, which Putty does with the added benefit of envelopes and other cool things.

Bezier.....Brazier is the Dairy Queen, dude.

And yes...filters suck....

Oh look..a but....~cough~
If you need it, you're useless...If you can use it well, it's useful. Get the weight balance? As for the "soft" interfaces, these things drive me insane. Bloated programs filled with useless tripe (aside from the useless filters...heh) that looks like Fisher Price regurgitated on my monitor...Where do I sign up?

Shell out fifty bucks for something I could recreate through a bit of effort? Sounds like cash for a kick in the head.

Sweet deal.

Nah, don't kill the messenger.

I have no problem with people using filters, if they can use them well, and with purpose. If that's lacking, then so are they. I'm not commenting on the thread, just the need for what the thread is about

So, for now, I'll let her off without death...just a stern talking to, and a mild spanking.

Done deal.

Most of you really think filters are really bad don't you,

If the person can use the filter or filters in a way that it does not look like he/she has just pressed a button then I think it ok to use them. But saying that most people just press buttons and hope a great art piece will appear out of the blank canvas, which I really hate.

Shi I seen this a while back form news at computer arts web site. Its good if you want to save time and effort in doing things yourself. Its good but most of them effects can be done in PS with a little time, so I see no need for this big memory eater to be apart of your PS filters.

I won't kill you for passing the message on but please give some black pills are way for you?re bad deed in get people see this crap .

Who ever said filters suck? They're just a tool like a brush or a chisel. It all depends on how you use them. Anyway, some of the effects look kinda cool, but I'd prefer to spend my $300 on something else.

Filters. Use them and get it out of your system, sow your wild KPT oats! Then, when you are sick of them, stop using them.

Simple as that.

It's not like they will force you to drown puppies or shop at the GAP. The effects from using filters is quite reversable.

I never understood the 'use the filters and get them out of your system' deal....I looked around at 3rd party filters when I 1st got photoshop....quickly realized they all either cost more money than I was going to waste, or were completely useless - or both. So, instead I learned how to use Photoshop .

No need to kill the messenger, but I'll join in on the spanking
