that was just an educated guess based of the colors already present... and that is not the correct average.... I am afaid that has sliped my mind at the moment though, its somethin like 4? 3 3

Layer 1 with color nº 1.
Layer 2 on top of that, with color nº 2.
Set top layer opacity to 50%.
Pick color with eyedropper.
Done.

A method I have used in the past is to make a new image one inch high and a couple of inches long. Then make a gradient from left to right with the two colors I want to blend. I can then pick the middle point of the image for a 50% blend or you can select other blends by calculating which point in the image to pick.

For example, a 25%-75% blend would be 1/2 inch from the left (in a two inch image). I once made an image where I wanted different colored layers of the same shape in the image. I creates a new image five inches long and filled it with a custom gradient then picked points every half inch from the gradient to select the colors I wanted for the images I was making.

One thing to keep in mind is that the end points give you one more point than you might expect. For example, using the five inch image with a sample point every half inch, I created 11 layers. If I had wanted 10 layers, I would have made the gradient four and a half inches long.

Xdreamer.ch: I'm at a job site right now and don't have the tools to create a demo of what I described. I will try to remember when I go home this weekend to make some graphics and see if I can demonstrate what I described earlier.

get rgb value of both colors.
then just calculate the middle of the 2 corresponding colors and you go ...

the top Left is the light color here and the top Right is the dark color here.... not That much diff when the are blended together... hard to tell apart.

7F7F7F is the neutral center gray color... err... gray. It comes up as {127,127,127} You see... 255 is the max. {255,255,255} is White (all color is its brightest). {0,0,0} is Black (no color). 127.5 is one half of 255, so that is the mid point between black and white. err.... what ever....

um... and 2B0404 is the center color between the two (2) colors on this forum. {43,4,4}

Thanks Eye. That illustrates it very well. You can see from Eyezaer's images that you don't have to limit your choices to 50% or 25%. You can pick colours at any interval you want and use the rulers anlong the top to decide where to pick the colors you need.

*blinkblink* Hello? *points at his post above* I think that'd be a little easier. yçan even set the opacity percentage without having to mess with custom gradients and rulers... but I think that's just me.

Cool beans, No problem! Yah... I usually do what M said. Its easier and less error prone.
