Preserved Topic: Makeing Braids (Page 1 of 1)

I am trying to make a bread of swaet grass in photoshop and illustrator. I have looked at a braid and tried to use pictures of one but I just can't get it to look right. I am trying to make it in the shape of a C. Does anybody have any suggestions?

BTW: Sweetgrass is just a long flat variety of grass that smells nice.

http://www.abbott.demon.co.uk/mercatmethod.html is a good link for drawing celtic knots, some of the more basic patterns could easily be called 'braids'.

Hard to make suggestions if we don't know how far you've gotten or what problems you are having.
