Preserved Topic: Make it (Week 56) ~Repeat Performance~ Bow of Boat (Page 1 of 1)

There has been some confusion in the past about what happens in here, so we`ll pretend not everyone has done this every week. For those of you that are new and those memory challenged, it goes like this :

1) Start here(124K) with this weeks image.

2) Have your way with it. That includes, but is by no means limited to : shake it, bake it, ruffle it smooth it, restore it, destroy it, twist it, burn it, smash it, stretch it, reveal the inner beauty, cut it to the red meat, paste it, waste it, taste it, mould it, mold it, shine it, shank it, dank it, yank it, in short, do to it what you will.

3) Post it here ( Be mindful of file size, thumbnails and text links are perfectly acceptable)

4) No critiques, no recriminations ( unless you do something really stupid )
No winners, no losers.

If you have an image you`d like us to mangle, send it to Shii, or myself (see profile) and we`ll do the hard part.
Above all else, the most important thing is that you have fun with it.

Hey nice work DS. OK, this is my attempt for this week.

Darkshadow > could you put me on the road for doing that "smoke" effect?

Eexell: It's not the best smoke/mist effect I can make it's just a quick play around experimenting again with making mist than smoke, but if you really want to know how I did this effect try this:

> In your tools pallet pick your foreground colour to black and the set the background colour to white. (or just click the black and white box overlaying each other just below your colours)
> Make a new layer.
> Then >filter>render>Clouds.
> Then CRTL+T (free transform) re-size it down 50% (this makes more detail that way)
> Duplicate the layer 2 times (or more if needed) and blend them together so it all fits together nicely.
> Set blend mode to screen and play around with it.

Then just make more layers of the same effect (or difffernt effect of lightness or darkness) and play with it, erase parts you don't need, etc till it looks ok. If you want a better effects would read Apples master classes
by John Paul Caponigro (dam I need John Paul Caponigro's book to have a read of it's looks dam good).

Anyway back to the RP..........
