I have a PSD image, and another PSD image. Both are open in Photoshop. I have 3 layers from left.psd and I wand to transfer them to main.psd . Is there a way to link the layers then transfer them? I do not want to save a jpeg then open up and copy. Perhaps is ther ea way to directly move the three layers from one document to the other?

Thanks

Yep.

Link the three layers (Layers Palette, select one layer, click the second box on the left of each layer to link) and then click and drag the layers right into the new document.

If you want them centered or spaced the same way that they are in the existing doc, then hold down shift while you're dragging.

oops, is dg having an identity crisis...another way which helps in the long run, is to have all your layers sorted into differnet layer sets (PS6+). Layer sets can be duplicated between psd's by right click or through the layer palette options tab.
