why is it flat? are you going to map it to a 3D model???

Others will have more to say but 1) I can't airbrush to save my life so you are one up on me. 2) those eyes look a bit to large (and are not circular). 3) well.... to me the eyes, nose and lips do not look in proportion and may need some more work. 4) you may also want to add some features to the skin. Everyone has specks and pimples, and scars and things on their face but the skin on your image is too uniform.

Well, best of luck in bringing it along!!!

The biggest problem in your airbrush is proportion. Basically nothing in that face is the right proportion compared to everything else in the face. The eyes are far too large, lips are too large, eyes are too close together, lips are too close to the nose, etc, etc. The shading also needs work, but for now you should figure out the correct sizes and placements for everyting on the face.

Take a look around here http://faq.ozoneasylum.com/214/

It's a decent attempt for your first try, but you need to learn the basics first.

For your first time, thats pretty good

I'm learning how to airbrush at the moment, and if thats what i'd have come up with my first time i'd have been very pleased...

The main thing i see wrong with it is that fact that its out of proportion. Nothing seems to fit on the face

I'm not the right person to be giving you advice, so i'm no going to, but there are many people on here who are much more talented who will give you the correct advice and ways it can be improved.

I've said it once but i think it needs to be restated. For your fist work, this is great

I'm looking to forward to see what improvments you make in the future...

Aside from proportion, there are some very major discrepencies in form.

I would highly recommend getting a hold of a book such as 'human anatomy for the artist' or soemthing similar, as well as simply studying your face in the mirror as an example.

The fact that it is a 'first airbrush image' is completely irrelavant - the tool is not at fault, nor can it correct or improve upon what you've drawn. And if it is not drwan properly, it can't be airbrushed properly.

Not trying to sound overly negative, just need to make the point that the drawing comes first. *Then* the painting.

Oh My Lord.

Did he just come in here and act graciously? Request a review of his work and then thank people even for negative comments and critique? Did he just say he was going to keep working hard to raise his talents and standards?!?!

Someone tell me if the moon has turned to blood yet.

As for the piece: DL has nailed down some of the most important things. It really is a benefit to learn to sketch and draw before trying to fall in with colour. Learning form, perspective, and shading will help move you along a hell of a lot quicker than doing online tutorials, or meandering in this mish-mash of whining and "tricks"

You've got a decent colour sense...and if you're going to keep "working hard" then we'll keep working hard to help you get where you want.

I think I need some heart meds now.
