Hey. I wounder if anybody have any good tut/ tips/hints how to make some barbwire...

step 1) get some barbed wire. in the absence of actual barbed wire, a photo reference will do.

step2) study it. observe it. see what makes it....it.

step 3) try working with the pen tool to recreate the sahpes.

step 4) use any number of methods to produce the texture and depth you desire.

Not to mention he's trying to post an image of an HTML file...

Barbed wire is essentially two main wires intertwined with little spikey bits at x.lenth intervals. The old stuff is anyways.

The new stuff is basically serrated (sp) loops.

Well one easy way it to create a pattern brush, using illustrator 8+.

All you have to do is create one link, then you can stroke it along nearly any path with a little tweeking.

Lol, I know, I know, I'm the dumbest person on these forums, lol. I was working with an animated gif. For some reason it turned to HTML...bot sure when that happened.

Wasn't there one of those cool ass threads on this very subject a (long) while back? As I recall there was much artistic input.. was Weadah involved? Hmm.. now I have to search..

cyoung: I'm not sure I'd bother - I've checked and while there is some mention of it in some threads it appears to have been one those that got hit when a large section of threads went missing
