horizontal scrolling for 800x600.

at the top, your shadows look wierd. youve got grey shadows on the left and dark brown shadows on the right. doesnt look quite right.

In an attempt to avoid starting another whiney thread, I'll start off with a compliment. Code looks pretty good. <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/smile.gif">

Ok, now for the real stuff:
-The color scheme is dull and not very good looking. Brown and pukey green are not a good combo. I really don't like black backgrounds, but most designers are neutral as far as black backgrounds.
-The shading on the buttons is pretty weird. I can't really tell what shape they are supposed to be. The mouseovers are pretty boring, and it seems strange to me to add an inner shadow. The shadow isn't created right to make it look like the button is being depressed, if that's the look you're going for.
-The bevels and shading of the main interface/outline could use some work. They almost look like they've been motion blurred. The random brown gradients just add to this blurriness.
-There's an uneeded line of blurred black just inside the outline. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a drop shadow or not. If so, extend it all the way under the interface.
-The centering method looks like it might have problems on smaller resolutions. Most people browse at 800x600, and horizontal scrollbars are not cool.

All in all, not too bad, but I would like to see something a little bit more interesting and sharp. It shows promise. <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/smile.gif">

Great work as usual Awilthil. I just found a few little bugs with Netscape...

  • Obviously NS and IE interpet text differently but the size of the text throughout the page is big but the size of the text in your news section is just huge. You might want to look into that.
  • The text in the Free Images section is not bold. All the other text on the page is in bold. Either you just forgot to make that bold or something didnt work right in your CSS/HTML.
  • Im not sure whether its just that you dont have enuff content for it or it just doesnt work in NS but your scroll doesnt seem to be working. Slime wrote a very good scroller and I think the Doc just wrote one too that is compatiable in both IE and NS. You might want to haed over to the dHTML forum and check them out.
  • The roll overs in your top images all seem to look fine. They all work and look very good I might add. However, when your cursor passes over the previous button on the bottom, the next button roles over. Well Actually I just re-loaded the page and it seems to be working now. So maybe it was just a lil weird thing my computer did but you might want to check the code.

Im looking at it now in Internet Explorer and it looks as perfect as its going to look. The overal design is very good although Ive never been all that thrilled about a black background. None of your links seemed to be working but Im sure you know that. BTW, didnt you just create a new layout for your site? Already another one? Geez <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/smile.gif">

That's pretty sharp, the general consensus is that brown sucks and I'd like to say that the blue design on your other hyperpark design kicked all kinds of butt (the color and texture).

Get in PS5.5 and go to edit>transform>makeitblue, that oughta fix it.

Yea, I can't figure it out. But like 3 of 5 times, even after restarting, it crashed nn.
