Wow, I havent been around here for a while...anyway, its not quite done and much is to come, but i was looking for comments on my new site. Just click the LAUNCH button on the first page to enter... Use IE for now if possible. Thanks! The URL is below:

First page is plain, the flash one is cool.

The first time I came to your site, on the recommendation of another kid in our school, I had a hard time finding the "Launch" button... It's better now, but maybe you can find a way to make it more obvious? Or maybe you should even put the "News" section inside the flash part, and load the flash as soon as people come. Overall, I'm impressed by the site. Good use of subtle color changes. Consider making the About window drag like the Portfolio window does.

better than what i was doing when i was 15... then again, i doubt any site on the 'net could have touched that when i was 15.

don't have time to run through it indepth, but what i saw was nice and i currently lack any major complaints.

It is an attratcive site, and well done, but I just don't have the patience for long drawnout animated intro kind of things. Short, sweet and to the point will always be better in my book. The music and and the length of animations is a turn off.

I guess I agree with DL. The site is nice but the intro is just to long and a turn-off. Is there even an option to skip it?

Slow as hell to load...and I have a high-speed connection.

There's a javascript error. "oscroll" is underfined, line 26. This is in IE5 PC.

There's some formatting problems on the first page.

Nothing really technically wrong with it, but it's pretty damn boring.

Hey Arjun! Long time no see, good to see you back. Hmm, the front intro page is BLANK in Netscape on the mac, nothing more than 2 arrows, up and down. I viewed the source and looked for the luanch URL, let's see now...

Hmm, the music works good, I liked the rotate tool on the loader, maybe you should make that more noticeable? Give folks something to amuse themselves with while waiting.

The ABOUT link, maybe it should load with something inside the box? I almost didn't notice the small links down near it.

I thought the experimental section was the best of the bunch, but I like stuff like that. The portfolio section, shouldn't those be links too? Hot links are always more impressive than screen shots.

The entry page (I fired up IE for this), it *is* kind of boring, but very professional. Boring isn't always bad, not if you want to do any business! The layout worked for me.

i got an empty first page on ns4.51 pc too,
but i after reading the other messages i to switched to ie.

Wow! Thanks so much for the comments everyone, I really appreciate it...Ok, here's what I will work on:

- I'll spice up the front page and check compatibility issues...
- DL, I totoally respect what you are saying and a lot of people share those views. I made a flash site for the point of making a flash site...music and animations are essential to a site like this in my opinion..but thats only my opinion <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/smile.gif">
- mbridge, you're the first person that has had a problem with the first page's scrollbar on IE5 on PC (thats what i use)... im sorry you thought it was pretty damn boring...did you actually enter the site? just curious.
- Doc, its great to hear from you again.... Thanks for the comments. I will work on the Netscape/Mac issues. I will add links to the portfolio. Im glad you liked the experimentals. On the much better redesign of arjungfx.com (coming soon) I will use that first experimental as the navigation.

arjungfx -- I understand the need for the music and animations, just the fact that it took so long makes it too repetitive for me (I liked the music at first, but hearing the same loop over and over and over.......). I did like the rotate thing...like Doc said, maybe if you made that more prominent it would help -- something to play with helps pass the time waiting to load <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/biggrin.gif">

anything you can do to speed up the loading time would go a *long* way. I'm on a slow connection compared to a lot of people here so that doesn't help, but I know a lot of people besides me who don't have DSL or Cable connections yet <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/wink.gif">

anyway, no disrespect intended in any way -- I do like the site! just too slow <img border=0 align=absmiddle src="http://www.ozones.com/forum/frown.gif">

Hey DL, I didnt feel any negative vibes from you, dont worry...you had some great criticism and thats what I needed. I'm about to add a more noticeable rotate button and a "skip animation" or "skip intro" button...I really appreciate your comments man, and I'm glad you gave me those suggestions. Ill post again when the new stuff is up. Thanks again. I love your signature btw.

Ok... lets see. I added a "skip animations" button once the flash has loaded. This way, the animations still play, but the navigation loads instantly so you dont have to wait for all the animations and sequences... Check it out.

ha, sorry for replying again... but I think I just fixed the Netscape problems.

Yep! Good go on that one, the first page reads great in Netscape now.

Keep the old one Doc. The others are great I just think the original sig is like classic ... sort of a tradition. Its right up there with the angel on top of the Christmas tree ...

Doc - the latest is the greatest. Beautiful colors, it's like a Dead show.
