Hey guys... I'm trying out three new sigs I made in the past two days... I went for less flashy, more artsy. |

well they're all kind of big... kind of, sort of, like really big. |

I like the second one quite a lot, the text doesn't work for me either though and the shadow of your face on the arm is unfortunate. I meant to say something in another thread about the 2nd one, it's nice. |

The second one looks cool, I think you should stretch it length wise and make it more narrow. I dont really care for the other ones too much though. None of them are really as nice as your skin sigs tho ... just my $.02 |

Yes, I was having fun with my camera... considering I have nothing else to photograph, I got three photos of me and a ton of the bike path outside my apartment, which I then blended together for each... :P Look at me! Look at me! Well, I am human, so including me in my sig certainly works with my theme... |

The text looks bad becuase it gots so much Anti-Aliasing on it, and it has that kinda 'Look...I can use a default font' look to it, and it's outta keeping with the style of the picture behind it. Where as the third one, although I don't like it, has a more Gothic, city look to it, where the times new roman fits in really well. |

Hmm, okay. Actually, none of the fonts used are standard default fonts, but oh well. |

The best pictures to use for a 3D Model reference ar a dead on Mug shot, and a straight on profile shot. other than that, you need to start small when doing organic modelling. Try using one of the organics tutorials at http://www.3dcafe.com , especially the one about modelling a head from a sphere. |

I have a headon shot and a side shot... the first two "sigs" (which I don't plan to use in these forums ... much) use shots where I tried to get a good side shot but it's hard to hold the camera at the correct angle and not look to make sure you're aiming it at you. :P I've looked at all the tutorials about head meshing many times over. I've actually found that I can get a better looking mesh (one that actually looks like a face!) if I just do it without anything to base it on. |
