not a bad first attempt Metage at a sig... nice texture... only critism would be that your drop shadow is almost fallling off the background over on teh right hand side.. maybe you could balance the text a bit more....and thus pull the drop shadow a little away from that right hand side edge... or you could widen the background a bit .. either or,

another thing you could try is to soften the transition between the edge of your background and the background of the Asylum, maybe a blur, or feather from your colour into the bg colour of the asylum (which is about 40,4,4 rgb)
maybe maybe not...

all in all a good sig...

again, you just need to work on the visibility. Maybe add an adjustment layer (brightness)
