Its been a while since of I have used PS.

Anyone want to offer some comments?

just wondering what inspiration came from Doc?

It's nice and roundish.....but not much to it. The green's a little distracting.
maybe smoothing it out a bit would be nicer?

dl-44: compare it to the asylum logo.
stroked black text with white outer glow, colored text inside with lighting effects...

doc quickly mentions how he made the asylum logo....

but yeah, it looks nice, it looks like kerning aint on or something, the W and a seem too far apart...
but i like the font, and the color stuff looks ok, just needs a little work.

good Warmage.... not sure what DL is taking at the memonet.. havent checked his medicine rosta! LOL.. I think the outer glow is a bit too strong but apart from that not a bad rip of the Asylum look..

well I see the black outline and the glow........I don't believe Doc has a patent on that....I do believe I've seen it elsewhere once or twice

I think my server just doesn't like you vp......you've always had that probem if I remember right....but I haven't heard from anyone else! Soon enough I'll have a real server though.......

Maybe you ought to bring the letters closer together and maybe have one or two over-lap to see how that looks.

did you use a color halftone 'screen'?

I really like that WarMage the more I look at it.....it's warm on top and cool on the bottom....very soothing colors to me.....*snooooooring*

that looks pretty cool... but them lines just dont look right if they aint horizontal... imo.

Yep, I definately like it more with the overlapping.

It'd be interesting to see how ths looked if you lowered the "w" so the top of it was even with the lower case letters.... maybe even bump it up a size or two if you try it. Then, take the "M" and make it slightly larger as well, ensureing to line up the bottom of it with the bottom of the rest of the text (except for the "W" and the "g")...

hmm... just thinking outloud

edit: If you do that, then you could place a little "tag line" starting from the right of the "w". I think it might look a little too plain if you don't.

Ok, next version I will work in some extra letter manipulation!

As for halftone "screen"... I don't know about all of that. The only screen I did was the type that follows with the lighting from F1_error's cleoplastic tutorial, then turned down the transparency.

Looks good, I especially like the subtle 'cordoroi' (spelling?) feel.
