Preserved Topic: 5k site contest... (Page 1 of 1)

I'm tired of waiting for next years 5k site contest (the5k.org). I move to hold an ozone 5k site contest...we can all judge minimalistic web design...not a traditional contest per se, more of a strutting ground for any low bandwidth work we wish to boast...i'm in the process of making my site 5k compliant so i wanted to see if anyone else is in the same field...

what kind of requirements and outline would there be to the contest? i mean 5k is great and all, but am i just worrying about a splash page and some info, or potentially a little bit more?

sounds kind of fun, not really though.

I like this idea...

..but it's freakin hard to do. I just tried making on, and just the HTML file quickly became over 5k. This is a good challenge.

I did a 3.12 k version of mine...

lets see requirements for the 4.5k contest:

Take your site and turn it into a minimalist while maintaining good design aspects, etc...


not much of a contest i guess, more like an expo...it is tough...

bah, I once had a full website under 3.5k, content, images, the works ... eh no way Im lying ... sorry I didnt have anything ever remotely close to that. Post your site Dan ...

Alright, here is my 5k entry... a refined derivative of my personal portal. Not too many people like my web site ( http://goelectronica.com/enharmonic ) since it's designed as a personal jumpoff point for my own purposes.
