Hi everyone, I've finally updated the template at Reptilegirl.com. But that's not why I'm here, actually she wants a section that has good/bad reports from users about pet shops... however some people have advised her that it could lead to some hairy lawsuits...

Just curious if anyone has had any similar experiences and any advice you might have on this.

Thanks

How to be brief:

I am not an attorney. But I have argued with them whether they are on my side or not.

See an attorney about a disclaimer. Use a Bulletin Board format. On the page, clearly absolve your client of endorsement of content, and clearly warn posters that they are individually responsible for their own comments.

Just so you know, I've seen a Web-Host-Review bulletin board site where people report on good and bad Web Hosts, and specifically named and provided links to the Web Hosts. I Just can't remember where it was.

Good luck.

Ya, I was thinking she may be better off having a 'rating system' instead of good/bad commentary... but in any case I'm sure a disclamer would be in order.

Thanks
