for the look alike Flash. (SWiSH is a good program if you want to slap together a site quick, unlike Flash, but I am just learning flash)
Tell me what you guys think of the site etc...

The background image looks good enough. I am personally not too found of more "random" imagines like that, but it looks like it is well done.

That green colour is rather ugly I think, but that's just personal taste.

Is that your own handwriting you have used for the text? It looks ok, but is sort of hard to read when there is longer texts with it.

What I don't like as much is the "hollow" text. It is rather hard to read, and doesn't look very good. And it even took me a while to discover the "nav bar" link at the bottom left corner.
And maybe you should launch the forum in a new window?

The effect you used the SWiSH for looks good to me. Nothing too flashy, but still a nice effect.

I think that in general it is a well made page, even if my eyes does not agree with all the colours you choose

nice interface! but i takes a long time til you find the nav-bar....
make that a little more 'active'

I couldn't find a nav bar so i left....give that some thought....

hmmm... i get a big black screen, and after a few minutes, its still loading...
if this was a page i came across under normal browsing conditions, i would have given up long ago.
i can handle waiting, but only if i see progress.. all i see here is a big black box.
ok 30 more seconds, and im giving up.
while im waiting, ill offer someunprofessional advice....
a) dont use flash. try to make your site without. this isnt a 'rule' but it seems, you arent using it the way i feel it should be - for something quick. the advantage of flash is its speed in producing anims. (and functionality, but we wont go there). all imn thinking now is that this flash had better be pretty damned good
b) if you must use flash, at least give us a loading movie, so we know that something is happening. or better yet, use flash movies in little boxes in your site like you would a gif animation. so that if they dont want to see your funky little flash effect, it dont matter.
c) if you must make flash, make it a helluva lot smaller.

Hmmmmm... that's really odd! Never happened before! Went to your site and instead of a web site I got a screen full of your HTML. Tried a couple more times and it keeps happening. How odd. What might have caused that? Anyone know?

Well, it loaded fast for me, but I'm on DSL of course... so my only other regret is not being able to find a navbar.

WooHoo! I found the nav bar!!!

I knew I was blessed with good eyes! It's not a bad one for a personal site but it does indeed look like if you don't wanna hear the "I didn't find the nav" stuff you oughta make the text on it more obvious or eye catching. I put flashing stuff on stuff that ain't obvious, but then you get a bunch of complaints about flashing stuff. Personal site, whatever you likee.

I'd specify a black background, personal or not

Yea, well, I'm not a professional designer or nothin, so the machines I use at work and at home are probably not quite as professional as y'all's ::boo hoo, sniff, sniff, boo hoo::

At home I got the screen full of HTML for Logitech, but Doc's site works fine. Here at work, Logitech site pops up fine, but Doc's site has a tendency to go haywire. Go figure.
