The site design is very appealing to the client, so I don't think I'll modify it, but I do need to check for cross compatibility. The only limitation I want to impose is the use of Flash. I want it to work on Macs, Windows, I.E., Netscape. I'd like to see if a linux netscape worked as well...

The site is supposed to be 100% wide. I'm having trouble making it 100% tall in conjunction with 100% width - either I get it to work in IE and it breaks in netscape or vice versa. It's a pretty complicated table set, but this is not a major problem - if I don't fix it noone will likely notice, I'm just curious about it.

Oh, and if you dare look at the code, please excuse the mess. My office uses GoLive 5 for development so the days of clean HTML for me are over.

That page is making me hungry! I think it looks great. Just the sort of site you can get away with using red and yellow, good work! And I think the flash works good too.

As for the compatability it seems to work without problems both on my IE5.5 and NS4.7 on a PC. But then I guess you probably already knew that...

Thanks, ZOX... yeah, I was charged with making a site with red and yellow. Period. Sheesh, I said, how obnoxious! But it turned out to be kinda fun.

Yeah, those colors seem to work for fast food related stuff, don't they? Site looks great, flash is well integrated, I see no problems on IE 5.0. Text size is a bit big, though, I think, for the links at the bottom.

oooh, mouseovered, on the menu page, a "click here" link near the top:

line 61, char 1, object expected. 2001menu.html

In IE5.5 if you resize your browser window horizontally sometimes the yellow stripe under the hot dog disappears...

Besides the code being *atrocious* I'm just dandy with it.

IE 5.5 (win): Works Fine
Amaya: Broken Horribly
Opra: Works Fine
NS 4.76: Works Fine
NS 6 : Works Fine

Didn't try it in any text only browsers. I don't think amaya's problem with your page is too sever. I wouldn't worry to hard about that one right now, but it may cause problems in the future of strict browsers.

I don't like all the trailing white space as well as the trailing red and yellow space, that could be fixed. The design is excellent. Color choice is great for the site relating to food. I am not sure if staying away from orange is a good idea, or not. Orange being the standard fast food stimulating color. A good option for a study in color theory. Should webpages referencing fast food use orange, or is that a store only color.

I think it's great for a fast food page

And there is a very good reason why they insisted on red and yellow and why most fast food joints do too and why looking at those colors makes ZOX hungry. Reds and Yellows have been shown to make people hungry more than any other colors. For instance, blue has actually been shown to supress one's appetite.

Think about all the fast food restaurants that use these colors:
McDonald's
Del Taco
In'n'Out
Carl's Jr.
Jack in the Box
Wienerschnitzel
the list goes on...

I ate at a foreign restaurant at lunchtime today.... I ate at a Burger King..."foreign?" you ask...well there was a spanish person, vietnamese person, chinese person, and an Indian person behind the counter serving the food...they were all jabbering in their native tongues and the cacaphony of that was hillarious to behold.

to: Mr. Metahedron,

re: your code

i believe there are 2 type of people in this business:

1-those who do great code

2-those who do great graphics.

there is no one who is great at both. many think they can..................wrong!

you are gifted with the gift of graphics. be greatful.

it is All about how it looks and Not about the code.

you are particularly gifted in the quantity, quality, and diversity of your graphics.

be grateful.
