Preserved Topic: OK Need Help/Critique/Review lol (Page 1 of 1)

I'm doing my first "professional" (so stated cause its for a business/net company) site. Its at http://www.charmedsite.f2s.com/ppn.shtml
Its for an IRC server: reloadnet.homeip.net
Just the main page is layed out so far (and yes it looks alot like my charmed fansite layout because i made my site as professional looking as I could and can't do much more than what I have already done) so I need ya'llz opinions and ideas to help the site. (Other than put images on it. thats on the way except that I'm not doing them because its a group effort from all IRCops that work on the server.)

Also, I am not so sure about listing the Asylum as an "affiliate." Affiliation kinda inplies a sponsorship of some sort. Unless DocOzone gave you permission to list the Asylum as an affiliate, I would say change that heading to say something about "useful links" rather than affiliate.

the affiliates header is temporary. that whole affiliates section is until the person who asked me to do the site tells me news and content to place there lol the site isn't going to be linked to my site. And as for affiliate meaning hosted but or hosting it doesn't to me. I linked to ozone on my site's new layout as affiliates just as i linked to other charmed sites and to graysoft inc... For 2 reasons. Its a site I visit often as are the other charmed sites and I'm not giving it its own special little header since none of my other links would be considered that. Although since u brought it up i will think on it and possibly change it on my new layout also, but the link on PPN isnt permanent because i don't know exactly what the person wants. They told me layout first and then they'd tell me what content to insert.

oh and umm wheres that link sposed to go cause when i clicked on it it took me to a page not found error? i'd like to check it out but umm ?

You want a review on this... Go and actualy design a site first!! Then ask for a review...


Oh, one more thing.... NEVER! use the Height & Width values to resize an image on an HTML page. Resize it in a Graphics Pargram then use the actual Height & Width Values of the Image.

You said you couldn't do much more this layout wize in you first post... I strongly suggest investing some money in a HTML book. Designing all of you sites to look the same simply bacause you don't know a better way to design is not really designing at all is it? You reaally should do more research on web design...

umm http://charmedsite.hypermart.net/ is my site ( http://www.charmedsite.f2s.com/ is a possible new layout for it but I don't know if either is really better) this is just the basic layout a person from the IRC server asked me to do. And the reason its the same as my sites new layout (which isn't up yet cause im still working on adding to it) is because its the best i've ever done cause all i've ever worked on is fansites where content counts most, but the person that asked me to do it loved the layout and told me to do sumthing like that until the rest of the pple on the server could vote on content and any changes to the layout.

Darken up that splash picture, and try to get some better blending.
