I dont think it is necessary but is a personal taste. I also think that all your graphics could be optimized further to help on the download time. I am still a 56k'er and your splash page took a fair amount of time to load, let alone your main page in the pop up. That said.. I like your style.. its clean... there was some misalignment problems with your frames.. gaps etc in NN4.76 fyi.. could have been worse ~Vp~

I was expecting them to light up a little bit more to see what was going on. Maybe you could make the text turn white perhaps or something like that. I like the background image but overall the design seems to be missing something. I like it, the colors are great, but it just seems like an image with text overlayed on it, needs something to give it some spice. Just my two cents.

What I didnt like was the pop up... I dont think it is necessary but is a personal taste. I also think that all your graphics could be optimized further to help on the download time.
