Preserved Topic: pic resolution??

Ok.. I have a question.. I am looking at some of the sites and I want to know.. how the hell can I make my images so sharp?? Do I need to design in certain resolutions???

and Sasha's previous version with a frog on a splash page was looking very hi res....

Looks like some of what they're doing is pixel-level design, zoom way in there and color one pixel at a time, or one horizontal/vertical line at a time, and make good use of cut and paste.

That's especially true for the second link you posted. The first one seems to be a combination of that and other images.
