Illustrator have the capability to give column, line and area graphs specials icons to indicate values on the graphics.
-How do I use the "Object -> Graph -> Design" function?
-Where do I chose from "Vertically scalled", "Repeating", "Uniformly scaled" or "Sliding".
Someone have an idea or a tutorial for that?

ok...

I don't know what version you are using, but I have 8, so let's start there..

First select the graph tool from the tool bar, make sure that you hold the teeny black arrow that makes the tool extend/slide out. Hit the other little black arrow to tear off the tools so that it creates a graph tool palette. Now choose a graph style and enter your data.

To make a custom image that will be used in your graph "bars", first make your illustration that you want to be used, and then draw a box around it, with the fill and stroke set to none. Place the box behind (Object > Arrange > Send to back). This will be the area that "contains" your pattern/image. Now go to Object > Graphs > Design, make a new design and name it something.

Select your graph, and go Object > Graph > Column and choose your design. There are the different value options there such as stacked, vertical scaled, etc. Play around untill you see what you like.

There should also be some sample designs for graphs that came along with Illustrator, look in the sample files if you installed them.

Hope that helps, it should at least get you started. If you have more questions, see the help file, it is really quite helpful!
