Hi everybody. Whats your opinion on using image ready to write some html for you? I'm playing right now with it, and it did my mock up of a Graphic interface pretty nicely. Someday I'll lean to edit it, but it seems to work pretty good. If anyone here does mess with image ready, let me know I have a question or two...

There is a pretty large discussion about WYSIWYG editors here that may apply to the idea of using image ready. Though I am not opposed to editors in general I would not use their javascript code. The only thing I really use image ready for is to slice up images and to make animated gif's.

Okay I should of done a search, I felt that image ready wasn't much of a wysisyg kind of program. But it is. The slice tool is pretty nice since I don't understand how to do it with html code Well anyways, thanks for the responce.

IR is the greatest thing since sliced bread, copy merged and snap to guides. Good tool to monkey around with, unfortunately it's a semi-seperate app from PS and that works on my last nerve.

I don't know if I would classify IR as a WYSIWYG, because it doesn't 'make and edit' web pages, but rather just exports slices to html. For that it is great, however I personally hate the code it cranks out. Table's are not that hard to code, they just take some time. I've found that I have way fewer problems with the end result if I do it by hand, and usually end up saving time since I don't have to troubleshoot.

dam, I can't believe I never saw those tutorials.... I probably did each tutorial on that sight. I tried IR with my whole graphic interface, and didnt like the results I'll have to play with it in another way.

I`m lazy enough to use IR to write complex tables, too. Slice, optimize, export, all in one.

Guess I`m just not enough of a purist , but that is sweet. also, being *code challenged* myself, I`m learning to replace the js with a more efficent code.

I am currently using IR and find it to be an awesome timesaver! I basically just use it to cut up layouts! I found that when I added content to an IR layout that I imported into Dreamweaver (my editor of choice), the shit always falls apart! However I am learning CSS which does a beautiful job of keeping things proper!

if it hurts, put a magnet on it!
