Wow....thats all I can say about that...

first off...Does your school teach lightwave? if it does, then you can use their labs im sure for the completion of your demo reel...

if not...I wouldnt suggest using it...seeing as you are setting yourself up to get busted. If you do a demo reel using lightwave, and then your school doesnt use it...It will raise some questions. See what i am saying?

Sorry, I guess you should of thought about this before you decided to do your reel

Still remember hearing a story from my old roommate, he had seen a girl in one of the labs playing with Maya tutorials. When he asked her what she was doing, she said "working on a demo reel".

Hehe...
http://www.journeyed.com/ has some great deals on academic software, and if you're really wanting to learn you'll prob need the manuals anyway...

LoL...thats great. That happens all too often. I see demo reels all the time that are nothing more then just tutorials from the net or books. I don't know who these people think they are fooling. Anyone in the industry has seen all the tutorials before, and we certainly wont fall for it.

It makes me happy to know that as long as their are peolpe like that, I will always have a secure job.
