Preserved Topic: Well, how is just the image, then? (Page 1 of 1)

Ok, my site kinda .. well .. sucks. Gonna completely redo it.

However, I do like my banner image, and thought I'd post just that here, to see what y'all think:

Hey Das.

The banner looks nice, It just looks a little, umm.. bland. That could be because I'm not to fond of the colours though, but that just a personal opinion. On a technical level it looks quite nice indeed. I also liked the other images you had on you site! Are you gonna put you cool glass horsies up there when you redo-it ?

Side Note: Not that is matters as you said you were going to re-do your site, but the 'tutorials' link image swaps to the 'gallery' image when you click on it??


Dracusis

My eye is drawn to the Dave text, but the ingram.com is being pulled into the background. It's not standing out. I don't notice it right away.

Maybe you can make the letters self illuminating? And how about something on the blue object? Maybe some ridges or somehting?

The 'Ingram' part is fading because of the reflection map. I was going for a split between the first and last name, but the more I look at it, the worse that 'flat' part looks.

I'll switch out the reflection map with something more 'exciting' and see if it livens it up some.
