Hi all

I would like to password - protect certain downloadable files available at my website, whilst keeping others freely available. I dont want to protect any pages, just certain files due to bandwidth restrictions. We would issue passwords via email response.

What is the best way to do this?

You could just put the files you want protected into another directory and password protect that with .htaccess.

im gonna experiment tonight with it. as it turns out we also need a disclaimer/fair use page that the client must agree too before downloading. Im not sure why my boss pnuemonic81 needs password protection and the diclaimer page as well... seems redundant...
