The grey really sucked, I just got one in the mail today. It's gone, out-of-stock, unavailable, I pulled the links and disabled the product. So, white wins, yay! Malin's going to help me tomorrow do a photo shoot of the pieces, the quality on the shirts was totally awesome, as were the mugs. The mousepad was OK, but not as drop-dead gorgeous as the others, the lower yellow highlight got a bit muddy, see the scans online to get an idea. (Still pretty, just that the other two came out *really* well. |

Yah, the url is there in small print under the logo images. Once it became clear thsat I wasn't going to become obscenely rich selling shirts, though, I started focussing on the store itself, how it works and such. I'm looking into the functioning of things, how do you get to products, how do they get into a basket, and how can you get yourself checked out? I'm not talking code here, but the "experience". Once a product is ordered, I took the cheap way out and redirected people to the basket page, but in other stores I've sent them to the same page only with a "hook" so that it displays the product options, and lits how many of them they have ordered. The other option is to send them one page up the navigation, like you order a shirt and after you get sent to the listing of all other shirts, that kind of thing. This is an area that is not though about often, and I think any of us who do this professionally could benefit by discussing the philosophy of how something like this should work. (I'm a geek, I have weird hobbies, heh.) |

Hey Doc -- how about a frame on the right hand side appearing after you've ordered something, listing the contents of yuour shopping cart? Or perhaps making the bottom frame larger and putting the info there in place of the 'last item ordered' info? |

Interesting question Doc. It seems to me that the place you want to go to after the customer has made a purchase depends on who you are. The customer might want to go back to the home page or to look at their shopping cart. The owner of the site probably wants them to go to a page that will encourage them to make another purchase, like the page with more sweaters to buy. |
