Hmm... this made me think of Doc's background images page:

"Note that granting something to the public domain is a complete abandonment of all rights. You can't make something "PD for non-commercial use." If your work is PD, other people can even modify one byte and put their name on it. "

Hmm, maybe I should re-word that, the intent seemed clear to me, and never mentioned the words Public Domain. "These backgrounds are intended to be free for use for personal or non-commercial use. Commercial use is expressly forbidden, without prior consultation with me, Dr. Thaddeus Ozone." I guess that is a bad sentence, isn't it? I'll re-write it now.
