How do you keep multiple versions of IE on your machine for testing?

I just downloaded 5.5. and installed it to a folder other than the default in hopes of it not just upgrading my 5.0 version, ~ alas ~ it got it anyway . I have a disk with 5.0 on it and I was kinda figuring if I installed that to a directory other that the one 5.5 is in, I could have them both.

If this is not the case, or I'm about to screw anything up, please let me know.

You can have only one version of IE installed on one Windows installation...

That really stinks! Any work arounds? How do you guys do your testing in multiple versions of IE?

So I guess that means if I download the IE 6.0 beta version, 5.5 will be gone?

Yes, it does suck.
workaround #1: get a PC for each version of IE you want to keep around.
workaround #2: partition your hard drive into the number of versions you want to keep around. By partitioning your hard drive, you can boot up your machine with different OSs.

Either way is a pain.

Workaround #3:

Reinstall Windows every time you want to install any version of IE

ditch IE.. and use NN nobody uses IE .. well unless they do alot of "Baaaaa" 'ing.. if yer know what I mean .. heh

My stats show me that 90% use IE... =(

IE is faster than NS

NS disowned 4.7 with the release of 6, that says a lot to me ;-)

Workaround #4: Use VMware to install a couple of different OSes and run them all at the same time...
